The Childcare Coordinator is responsible for providing childcare and supervision during classes, events, and meetings on-site at the WomenFirst Rebuilding Lives Center. The Childcare Coordinator works closely with WomenFirst staff and participants to provide a safe, nourishing environment for children while their parents attend classes and workshops.

The full-time Recovery Peer Mentor at WomenFirst is a gender and culture-specific role providing support primarily for Black women in recovery at our stabilization Welcome Home House. The Mentor offers peer recovery support to Black women navigating current addiction and co-occurring mental health/personal challenges. The Mentor acts as a role model helping to create a safe and supportive environment while documenting residents’ progress and collaborating with Probation and Parole Officers as well as other community networks. The Recovery Mentor also assists residents in engaging with recovery activities while ensuring they have access to essential resources during their transition to treatment.

PEER RECOVERY MENTOR

(Welcome Home)

Work one-on-one with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, commercial sexual exploitation, and other sexual abuse. The DV Advocate is responsible for handling a caseload of a diverse population of women to provide crisis intervention, safety planning, outreach, education, and facilitation of support groups for survivors. The DV Advocate works collaboratively with Peer Mentors and our Housing Specialist within WomenFirst, as well as a collection of other agencies and organizations partnering with WomenFirst to achieve similar goals and ensure an appropriate response to the survivors’ needs.

The Overnight House Manager is a gender-responsive and culturally specific role that oversees the overnight operation of the Faith House and Welcome Home House. While ensuring the well-being of our women, this position will provide the highest level of hospitality and customer service in a manner consistent with the policies and guidelines of WomenFirst.

OVERNIGHT HOUSE MANAGER

The Case Manager will be working for the Education Not Incarceration program and will play a vital role in program’s mission to support and empower young BIPOC women ages 16-24  in need within our community. This role will be responsible for assessing  the needs of these young women, developing individualized action/care plans, coordinating services, and advocating for resources that enhance their well-being and independence.

The Qualified Mental Health Professionalis a gender and culture-specific role within WomenFirst tasked with providing crucial mental health support to our Welcome Home house residents who are navigating substance use addiction amongst other live traumas including: mental health challenges, domestic violence trauma, chronic homelessness, etc. This role will be working mainly with Black women and will involve conducting mental health assessments, offering individual counseling, and developing treatment plans to assist clients in achieving stability and wellness. You will collaborate closely with our team to support clients in overcoming mental health challenges and achieving their personal goals.
